Matthew McAlpine

Matthew has invested his career in hospitality, enjoying a true passion for customer care and the industry as a whole. His many establishments (seven in total) have between them garnered a number of accolades & ‘best restaurant awards’ and featured in many articles and television programs. He established his first eatery, Dejeuner, in Palmerston North in 1984. Dejeuner traded for 22 years and remains the longest running ‘same operator’ restaurant in the Manawatu. He is looking forward to steering and nurturing a similarly long relationship with MARKET’s supporters.
